Give What Matters

In support of Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, Responding to Crisis: Give What Matters, D&V General Engineering hosted it's 14th Annual Food Drive from Tuesday, October 13, 2020 through Wednesday, November 18, 2020. Although, this year, was a bit different from their regular Get-Together that included a BBQ, raffles and prizes, it was still very successful. Due to the pandemic and safety precautions, Second Harvest could not accept regular food drive donations, which would normally fill up multiple food barrels. The virtual food drive committee, Sabrina, Anthony, Gregg, Ela, Dustin, Todd and Marivie decided to sign-up for an online fundraising page and came up with a goal to raise $5,000, based on their previous food drive goals. They sent out weekly flyers and emails to their employees and vendors to get the word out. They've also kindly asked their vendors to donate to their fundraiser, in lieu of donating raffle prizes. Within a week and half, their online donation reached $4,306. They were in awe of how quickly the support poured in via online, cash and check donations. The fundrasing continued until November 18, 2020. The final fundraising total was $17, 381* and they couldn't have done it without their supporters and their generosity and kindness. They would like to extended their thanks to their employees for participating and their CEO, Mark for gift matching. And they are extremely grateful to their vendors who helped them surpass their goal. A special thank you goes out to them.

Thank you for your continued support, we appreciate you:

In support of  SHFB Primary Logo CMYK 2019

Please join us for our 14th year in supporting Second Harvest of Silicon Valley through a virtual food drive, a.k.a fundraising. Our previous food and fundraising drives have always been successful, with the help of our employees, vendors, and friends.  We want to continue our commitment to our neighbors, but we need your help.  We have set a goal of $5,000 to help those in need, in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. Although, it’s not our traditional food drive,  we hope you can still join us in this cause. Our virtual fundraising drive will start on Tuesday, October 13, 2020—November 18, 2020 and you can directly donate to our online donation page :  D&V 's 14th Annual Fundraising Page
