D&V's 14th Annual Food Drive

In support of  SHFB Primary Logo CMYK 2019

Please join us for our 14th year in supporting Second Harvest of Silicon Valley through a virtual food drive, a.k.a fundraising. Our previous food and fundraising drives have always been successful, with the help of our employees, vendors, and friends.  We want to continue our commitment to our neighbors, but we need your help.  We have set a goal of $5,000 to help those in need, in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. Although, it’s not our traditional food drive,  we hope you can still join us in this cause. Our virtual fundraising drive will start on Tuesday, October 13, 2020—November 18, 2020 and you can directly donate to our online donation page :  D&V 's 14th Annual Fundraising Page

Monetary donations are also accepted in our office.

Our Superintendents can also collect the donations and bring them to the office.

No GIFT is too small and with your generous support -

  • Second Harvest can continue to provide nutritious meals to over 500,000 people every month (more than double the number they served since February 2020)
  • Every $1 donated helps provide two meals
  • 95% of contributions go to client programs
  • Second Harvest increased their distributions sites and monthly grocery deliveries to 6,000 of our most vulnerable homebound neighbors who are unable to leave their homes to get food

We sincerely thank you for your continued support.

17,759 Meals for Our Neighbors

On Wednesday, October 30th 2019, D&V hosted a BBQ for their 13th Annual Food and Fund Drive for Second Harvest of Silicon Valley. The food and fund drive was extremely successful with the help from their generous employees and vendors. They raised $6,500 in funds and 5,495 pounds of food.

The fifteen barrels they committed to filling up were overflowing and needed additional barrels for the extra food. With all the funds and food collected, their efforts will provide 17,759 meals for the Silicon Valley community. According to Lejla Bojer, Second Harvest Philanthropy Officer, 5,495 pounds of food can provide 3 meals a day for a family of 4 for 382 days. She says the D&V Team is amazing and is truly grateful for their support.
